WCAG

Compliance

The global technical standard we test every engagement against.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), published by the W3C, are the internationally recognized technical standard for digital accessibility. Most other regulations — ADA, Section 508, the European Accessibility Act — point back to WCAG as the practical bar to meet. We test against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA, as our default baseline.

  • Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust — the four core principles
  • Level A, AA and AAA conformance levels
  • Referenced by most national accessibility laws
  • Updated periodically; we track new success criteria as they land
